Healthcare

The Healthcare Atelier is a nurse-led navigation and advocacy practice for families who refuse to be blindsided. We cut through healthcare complexity, advocate where it counts, and through the Atelier Readiness Suite™ - we make sure you have the legal authority, situational awareness and clinical clarity to act before a crisis forces your hand.

ADVOCACY not Advice

Every patient has a story. Our role is to make sure it's heard, honored, and advocated for — every step of the way.

The Reality

“Families don't struggle because support doesn't exist. They struggle because…

NO ONE SHOWS THEM HOW TO USE THE SYSTEM ‍

The Healthcare Atelier bridges the gap between clinical reality, legal authority, and family decision-making — before a crisis forces the conversation.”

01

The Authority Gap™

Love does not give you legal authority. Paperwork does. Being the adult child does not automatically allow you to speak, decide, or access information.

02

The Translation Gap

Clinicians care deeply but rarely have time to translate every diagnosis, prognosis, and next step into language a frightened family can act on.

03

The Preparation Gap

Most families begin scrambling only after a crisis begins. Preparedness creates options; scrambling creates regret.

Meet Your Guide

I have been both the daughter and the nurse.

Nearly two decades of clinical experience across oncology, emergency care, pediatrics, long-term care, and geriatric and palliative care — in both the United States and Canada. I have navigated this system from both sides of the bed.

The Healthcare Atelier was built because I kept watching the same crisis unfold: families who loved their parents deeply, who showed up every single day — undone by a system nobody explained to them. That is a fixable problem.

My clinical background is the differentiator. Not because credentials are impressive — but because they mean I understand what hospitals actually require, what care teams actually need to know, and what families actually need to hear.

The Method

Every family we work with moves through the CARE Framework™.

A structured, nurse-designed method that turns overwhelming healthcare moments into clear, sequenced next steps.

"Julie changed the way our whole family talks about our mom's care. Suddenly we were asking the right questions, together, from the same page. It was the first time in months we felt like we had a plan."
